Local MP meets with Vector Aerospace Chief Executive

Last week saw the first post-takeover meeting take place between local MP Gordon Banks and new DARA owners, Vector Aerospace.

Mr Banks said – “I was pleased to meet again with Donald Jackson, Vector’s Chief Executive, this time as the new owner of the Almondbank plant.  We had a very productive relationship pre-sale and I am delighted that the whole sale process went smoothly.”

“Don and I talked about his plans for the future and he still has the same enthusiasm for the future of the facility that he had when we first met last summer in Canada.”

“He places a lot of stock in the experience and skills of the workforce at Almondbank and in the next few weeks I hope to visit the site to meet staff and management to talk to them and gauge how they feel the whole process is going.”

“I said from the start of the sale process that Vector would provide some exciting opportunities for the workforce at Almondbank and I am pleased that other Perthshire politicians have come round to this way of thinking eventually.”
