Local MP disappointed at funding announcement for Community Orchard Project in Alloa

Gordon Banks, MP for Ochil & South Perthshire reacted with disappointment to the recent announcement that the Orchard Project’s application for Big Lottery funding was unsuccessful.

Mr. Banks said – “This is truly disappointing news as I know that a lot of hard work has taken place by dedicated individuals, groups and organisations. The Orchard is a fantastic project and I was very impressed by the surroundings when I visited in March last year with the then Minister for Europe, Geoff Hoon.”

“My office will be contacting the Community Orchard Project in the next few weeks to offer any assistance that we can in trying to secure other funding options.
